Rewind / Fast-forward
Press the “REW” or “FFWD” button to rewind or advance the tape. No footage is shown on the television monitor.

Volume
The headphone volume and television speaker volume operate independently of each other. To hear just the headphone volume, make sure the television volume is turned all the way down.
Timecodes

The timecode displayed on the Sony UVW-1800 does not come from the tape itself. Unless the tape is rewound to the beginning, the timecode will not reflect the duration of material.
