| Notes | The scan head is 36 in. long and moves across the entire length of the scan bed area (50 in. side). The effective pixels varies based on the speed of the scan head; the speed determines the secondary number (i.e., resolution). By slowing the scan head down, the scanner is able to achieve 600 x 1200 dpi Optical. This takes approx. 40 seconds. It is important to note that this is an OPTICAL resolution with NO interpolation (added pixels). Note: the mobile digital photography kit is currently deployed in the Department of Biology. When the equipment is not deployed off-site, it is located in the Scanning Room, 5th Floor, Killam Memorial Library.
