Definition
A set of activities and the means used by the Information Producer (i.e., donor, representative from Office of Primary Responsibility, Principal Investigator, etc.) as well as the University Archives to ingest a given set of information into the Archives Permanent Collection. Producer-Archive Projects produce submission agreements that result in accessions. Producer-Archive Projects are defined in ISO 20652:2006 - Producer-archive interface – methodology abstract standard (PAIMAS) and ISO 20104:2015 - Producer-archive interace specification (PAIS).
Producer-Archive Projects involve a series of interactions that occur in four phases:
- Preliminary phase
- Formal definition phase
- Transfer phase
- Validation phase

Producer-Archive Projects are distinguished by a Project ID that is derived from Collection IDs for fonds and collections registered in the /wiki/spaces/APM/pages/90538072.
