A person, corporate body, family, or software responsible in some way for the creation or management of a resource, or the subject of that resource.

Introduction
The ArchivesSpace accessioning database uses the term agent to refer to corporate bodies, persons, families, or software applications that may be linked to accession records or resource records.
Agents in ArchivesSpace are described as Authority Records published in the Archives Catalogue.
