Prepare for installation

1. Turn off Windows firewall and virus software during installation.
   
   
2. Launch control panel and select options to hidden files and folders.
   
   
3. Launch Internet Properties window and uncheck “accelerate graphics” box.
   
   
4. Add date created column to Windows explorer.
   
   
5. Download ISO image from Access Data website: https://accessdata.com/product-download
   
   
6. Mount ISO image.

Install PostgreSQL database

1. Click on the Install FTK button.
   
   
2. Install PostgreSQL database on E: drive (or other drive letter assigned to SQL name).

Install Evidence Processing Engine

1. Install Evidence Processing Engine on C: drive (C:\AccessData) 

Install FTK 6.2

1. Install FTK on C: drive (C:\AcccessData).
   
   
2. This step also involves setting the TEMP location to F: drive 

Install FTK Imager

1. Click on "Other Products" button.
   
   
2. Select Imager.
   
   
3. Install Imager on C: drive (C:\AccessData).

Install Registry Viewer

1. Select Registry Viewer.
   
   
2. Install Registry View on C: drive (C:\AccessData).

Install Password Recovery Toolkit (PRTK)

1. Select PRTK.
   
   
2. Install PRTK on C: drive (C:\AccessData).
