Purpose of Dalhousie AtoM Users Email List

The purpose of the “DAL-ATOM-USERS” email list is to share information and ask questions about the Archives Catalogue. Potential topics include:

• Upgrades to the staff and public AtoM databases

• Collaborative “user acceptance testing” after upgrades

• Updates on our maintenance contract with Artefactual Systems, including the use of “support tickets”

• Schedule of jobs to send data from the staff database to https://findingaids.library.dal.ca.

• Questions and answers about how to complete data entry tasks in the staff database.

• Questions and answers about the Rules for Archival Description (RAD) and the International Standard Archival Authority Record for Corporate Bodies, Persons, and Families (ISAAR-CPF) standards

• Training and professional development resources

• Reporting bugs or anomalies
