Technical specifications for textual records and other print material

Specifications are based on Epson Scan software and may need to be adapted to other software applications and scanning equipment.
Epson Scan and most other scanning software supports the creation of “scanning profiles” that can be saved and reused during digitization projects.
Brightness, contrast, and saturation specifications are provided as a “starting point.” Technical specifications should always be tested and adjusted if necessary before scanning a new batch of material.
